1. Function and application scope:

Drilling and tapping centre: The structure of drilling and tapping centre is relatively simple, usually focusing on high-speed drilling and tapping functions, with a smaller tool magazine capacity, but the tool change speed tends to be faster to adapt to high-efficiency machining needs.

3. Machining accuracy and speed:

Machining centre: due to its versatility, the machining centre has high requirements for machining accuracy and is capable of high-precision machining. At the same time, its machining speed is relatively fast, but may not be as efficient as drilling and tapping centres in specific functions.

Drilling and tapping centres: Drilling and tapping centres are usually superior to machining centres in terms of accuracy and speed in drilling and tapping, especially in the machining of small and light parts.

4. Cost and maintenance:

Machining centres: Due to their high degree of automation and versatility, machining centres are usually more expensive to purchase and maintain.

Drilling and tapping centres: Drilling and tapping centres are relatively low cost and simpler to maintain, making them suitable for SMEs or scenarios where there is a high demand for specific machining functions.
